ZTE Flash to Join Sprint’s Network
In terms of units sold, ZTE is the 4th largest phone manufacturer in the global mobile phone market and it is also the 5th largest revenue earner. Some of its most notable devices are the ZTE Blade and the ZTE Athena. The ZTE Athena is to set the record as the thinnest smartphone on the planet, beating the current holder, the Oppo Finder.
In the meantime, images of the ZTE Flash have been leaked to the public and it boasts a rather healthy hardware specification with 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 4.5” IPS HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass, 12.6Mp rear-facing camera, NFC, LTE (4G), 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and Bluetooth 4.0. The ZTE phone will come pre-loaded with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0), displaying ZTE’s custom overlay.
It will be ZTE’s first high-end smartphone in the US market and we should see whether the company will be able to overcome consumers’ lack of awareness on devices released by a Chinese phone maker. There’s no word on its pricing and keep your eyes wide open if you’re interested.
