Windows Phone 7.5 Tango is Renamed, the Refresh
Microsoft recently renamed the WP 7.5 “Tango” to Refresh and it will offer some interesting new features. Previously known as Tango, the upgrade offers a set of new improvements, which clearly explain why Microsoft chooses to use a new name, but doesn’t use higher version number.
The Windows Phone Refresh is intended for lower-tier, cheaper devices and it can work well on devices with less than 250MB of RAM. Because some parts of Mango need more processing power and RAM, Microsoft will limit features on the Refresh; fast app switching, podcast subscription management, automatic image upload to SkyDrive and Local Scout are among features to be removed. Refresh also comes with new, non-demanding features such as enhanced SIM and roaming options, as well as better MMS support.
