ViVo X1 is Now the Thinnest Smartphone in the World
Chinese smartphone market seems to have more preferences toward thin handsets. Measuring at just 6.5mm thick, a new phone called Vivo X1 has snatched the “world’s thinnest smartphone” title from the Oppo Finder. The Vivo X1 is only 0.15mm thinner than the Oppo Finder, which is generally negligible. Aside from the thickness, the phone comes with largely mid-range hardware set, including the 1.2GHz Cortex A9 dual-core processor, 4.7” IPS display, 1GB of RAM, 8Mp rear-facing camera and 1.3Mp front-facing camera.
Despite its ultra-thin design, the manufacturer manages to cram a 2000mAh battery into the phone. The phone will also feature Android 4.1 and it could only be minimally modified. Specs of Vivo X1 may not be too exciting, but it should perform equally well compared to the Oppo Find as both share some similar features. The Oppo Finder has a smaller 4.3” display, but faster 1.5GHz dual-core processor.
Both phones have the same cameras and RAM. The phone will be available for $400, which isn’t too bad by International standards. Again, the phone will be available exclusively only in China, but some retailers in the United States and other countries are already offering the unlocked version of Oppo Finder.
