Toshiba AT300 is Officially Announced
In the mobile industry, Toshiba has always struck us as a bit half-hearted, because the Japanese company seems to be happier just sticking to camcorders and laptops. The Toshiba AT300 will have all we come to expect from latest tablets; Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0), Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor and 10 hours of battery life. The aluminum-clad slate starts things off quite well with a slender 8.95 mm waistline and a Gorilla Glass display; from build quality point of view, Toshiba continues to keep up the good work.
Display-wise, we are looking at the very familiar 10.1” (1280 x 800 pixels) panels with 10-finger multi-touch capability. The chassis houses dual-camera configurations a 2Mp front-facing snapper and a 5Mp round the back.
The Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor come paired with 1GB of RAM and AT300 will come with two storage options: 16GB and 32GB. All the usual connectivity options and ports are present and correct; including mini-HDMI and miniUSB. The tablet includes a card slot for full-sized SD card, which is quite unusual in the mobile market these days, not to mention the ability to expand the onboard storage further through the eMMC expansion slot.
