The Wikipad “Gaming Tablet” is Expected to Arrive Soon
The “gaming tablet” concept isn’t an odd one, many people have talked about it and some manufacturers have tried their hand at developing one, although with limited market success. Despite the unpromising situation, Wikipad is gearing up at releasing a tablet with the same name and it could be the same model we see at CES earlier this year. Since then, quite a few things have happened with it and originally intended as a 7” tablet, the Wikipad may eventually feature a 10.1” IPS display (1280 x 800). A 1.4GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 T30 quad-core processor will power the tablet, which makes it a bit more powerful than the Kai-powered Nexus 7. The Wikipad is expected to have 16GB of onboard storage and Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) installed.
As expected, the tablet will come with a physical game controller, which includes a directional pad, analog sticks, start and select buttons, a couple of bumpers and four face buttons.
Despite its gaming focus, the Wikipad should also be capable for any productivity and entertainment purpose. Unfortunately, there’s no word when the device is going to launch and the company only says that it will be available a bit later.
