Sony Is Set To Unveil the Xperia J in IFA 2012
The IFA tech trade event will be held in Germany next week and it looks like Sony will be releasing a new budget Android handset called the Xperia J, which has been leaked recently. The phone has appeared in a Russian website and an image of the upcoming Sony ST26i or otherwise known as the Sony Xperia J is shown.
The phone is very likely an entry-level device with an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7227A single-core processor and 5Mp rear-facing camera, capable of capturing VGA videos and equipped with a LED flash. The phone will be running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on a 4” display, which is relatively spacious for a low-end device. The Sony Xperia J should compete with other affordable smartphones, such as Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 and HTC One V. While we are yet to hear anything on its release date and pricing, we should expect that it will land with an acceptable price tag.
