Samsung Will Release NFC-Equipped Galaxy S3 Mini This Month
Samsung is planning to release the NFC-equipped Galaxy S3 Mini. The “lite” version of Samsung’s latest flagship will first arrive in the UK this month. The phone will also feature WiFi-Direct for better data transfers. S-Beam can integrate with the WiFi-Direct technology to improve data transfer performance between smartphones and other compatible devices. Samsung stated earlier that the method can transfer files as large as 10MB between mobile devices.
The NFC technology should allow budget users to mirror the user experience offered by Galaxy S3. The phone will come with Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) OS right out of the box, 4” WVGA Super AMOLED display, 1GHz Cortex A9 dual-core processor, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi. Many have argued that the S3 Mini is a severely watered down version of the original phone with lackluster performance, but it’s only intended to deliver low-cost alternative for budget-conscious users.
