With rapid progress in mobile technology, it is just a matter of time before we see devices with 4k displays arrive among us. Samsung has recently revealed that a plan to bring the technology to its high-end smartphone models in 2015. Meaning, we could expect that handset with eye popping 4k (3840 x 2160) screen resolution would land sometime next year.
The year 2014 won’t be much less exciting, since the South Korean company has a treat for its loyal consumers, with smartphones boasting 2k WQHD (2560 x 1440) screen resolution.
Samsung claims that it is developing a 5.4-inch AMOLED display with 2k resolution, which brings us 560ppi of pixel density, This would give users impressive clarity to just about everything displayed on the display. Things would jump up even more when Samsung brings us 4k devices.
Full HD 1080p resolution is already commonplace these days, so there is a possibility that Samsung seeks to keep its technological edge above Apple iPhone models, by adding 2k resolution to the Galaxy S5. We also heard earlier that the Galaxy S5 and Samsung’s other high-end models will be equipped with 16Mp OIS shooter. Samsung makes the A7 64-bit processor for processor for Apple and it is reported that the South Korean company is still working on its own version of 64-bit Exynos processor.
