Samsung Galaxy SIII Hands On Preview
Samsung unveiled the successor of the insanely popular Galaxy SIII in London yesterday. The new flagship feels well-rounded, expensive and sturdy, despite its slimness (8.6mm) and light weight (133 grams). The smartphone boasts a very nice 4.86” display that is to be expected from the South Korean phone maker. With a resolution of 1280×720 pixels (306 ppi) and HD Super-AMOLED technology, users can enjoy crisp and smooth visuals.
With the 1.4GHz quad-core processor under the hood, you can safely expect super fast performance. Menus look responsive and slick, but that’s again to be expected from a phone that’s free from carriers’ bloatware. The Galaxy SIII comes with a 1.9Mp webcam up front and an 8Mp snapper round the back, which can record 1080p videos. The high-end hardware and optimized software allow the phone to take three full resolution images in one second.
Users will get tons of features, such as pop up video playback, face detection and others. Based on features and hardware alone, the Samsung Galaxy S3 could become the best phone in the world. It will arrive in Europe first at the end of May, once it hits the shelves, reviewers will undoubtedly pit it against the best Apple, Sony, HTC and LG have to offer.
