Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini May Feature 1.4GHz Exynos 3 Quad (Exynos 3470) Processor
Samsung has released the Galaxy S5 Active and two other derivatives, the Galaxy S5 Mini and Galaxy S5 Prime . Some new photos of the former have been revealed quite recently and it appears that the Galaxy S5 Mini looks quite similar to the original Galaxy S5. It has the fingerprint sensor and heart rate sensor located below the rear-facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini (SM-G800F) may not arrive with the Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, as rumored previously. Instead, it will be equipped with Exynos 3470 SoC that runs 1.4GHz Exynos 3 Quad processor. The Mini may also feature 4.5-inch HD display, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 2.1Mp front-facing camera, 8Mp rear-facing camera and Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
The phone also comes with dotted pattern on its rear back cover, which is removable to allow users replace battery and insert SIM/microSD card. Its battery looks slightly small, but we don’t have details on its actual capacity.
The phone doesn’t seem to have a flap cover on the microUSB port, so it’s probably not a water resistant device. As always, more details should emerge as the actual release date is nearing.
