Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Firmware Reveals Galaxy S4 Model Number and GT-Q1000
A closer examination of the firmware for GT-I8190N (Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini) gives us some interesting information. It confirms one thing that’s widely expected, such as possible model number for Samsung Galaxy S4. Apparently, the LTE version of Galaxy S4 will also be called GT-I9595, while the GT-I9500 would be designated for another Galaxy S4 variant sans the 4G LTE support.
The number “4” is considered as bad luck in Korean society and that’s the reason for Samsung to skip the GT-I9400 model number. The Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 may have 5” 1080p bendable/flexible display, 1.9MP front camera, 13Mp rear camera, Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), 2GB of RAM, 3,200mAh battery, S-Pen support and 16/32/64/128GB of onboard storage.
But it doesn’t stop here, the firmware also mentions a previously unknown model called the GT-Q1000. GT-Q1000 could be a start of a whole new family of Samsung smartphones that may have unique characteristics compared to typical GT-Ixxx devices.
