Samsung Galaxy SSamsung’s new phone should be suitable for those you have the hots for the Verizon’s Samsung Droid Charge but don’t want to be tied with a 2-year contract. The Samsung Galaxy S Lightray 4G will arrive in MetroPCS off contract for $459. If you are not in the loop yet, it’s good to know that MetroPCS is offering a healthy lineup of off-contract devices, while allowing you to tap to its speedy 4G network.

The Galaxy S Lightray 4G might be a far-cry from so many high-end devices we see in the market today, but it still has quite a few things that might interest you.

It comes preloaded with the Dyle app, allowing users to stream TV broadcast using the 4G (LTE) network on the go. There will be no additional cost to stream the live TV, but unfortunately only users residing in select areas can use the service at the moment. The phone features a 1GHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4.3” Super-AMOLED WVGA display, 8Mp rear-facing camera microSD card, Android 4.0 and 2GB of onboard storage.
