Samsung Galaxy Express Preview
Samsung Galaxy Express is a slim, mid-range Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS at only 9.3mm thick. However, at 139 grams the phone shouldn’t be considered as lightweight. On the front, the 4.5” Super AMOLED Plus display has WVGA (800 x 480) resolution, which delivers vibrant color reproductions.
The internal components of Galaxy Express include 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and 2000mAh battery. The 5Mp rear-facing camera is capable of recording 720p videos and the 1.3Mp front-facing snapper is a decent improvement over the VGA model used by many other mid-range models.
Another important feature is the quad-band LTE (4G) connectivity. The AT&T version of Samsung Galaxy Express has a faster 1.5GHz dual-core processor. Like the more expensive Galaxy S3, the Express also has a few preinstalled apps, including the Pop-Up Play, Smart Stay and S Voice. There’s no word on when it will be available for sale and how much it will cost.
