Samsung Galaxy Appeal is Available for AT&T’s Subscribers
A new smartphone enters the AT&T network today. The Android-powered GoPhone that AT&T touts; features the landscape-sliding QWERTY keyboard. It also packs an 800MHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 3.2” 320×480 touchscreen display, 1.8GB of internal storage, 3Mp rear-facing camera, 1300mAh battery and a microSD card slot. The camera has 3x zoom ability and video recording feature, while the battery allows 300 hours of standby time and 7 hours of talk time. For today’s standard, the hardware configuration should be considered as entry-level and it should be able to handle many common daily tasks.
The phone will come preloaded with Gingerbread (Android 2.3) and it will debut on June 5thm for $149.99 at Walmart followed by AT&T retailers at July 15th. Subscribers interested in this slider smartphone can choose various data plan packages. The most affordable is $5 per month with 50MB of data allocation, then $15 per month for 200MB and finally $25 per month for 1GB.The Samsung Galaxy Appeal looks fairly basic and the landscape-sliding QWERTY keyboard should draw some attention, especially those looking to replace their BlackBerry phones.
