Pricing of Huawei Ascend W1 is Confirmed
Huawei recently introduced its first Windows Phone 8 smartphone, the Huawei Ascend W1, at CES earlier this month. Consumers in China, India, Russia and a few other Europeans will be the first to receive the handset. Huawei didn’t unveil the pricing information at CES, but the company is now planning to release the Ascend W1 for 1599 Yuan ($260) in the Chinese market.
The phone features a 4” WVGA display, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 dual-core processor, Adreno 305 GPU, microSD card slot, 32GB of onboard storage and 5Mp camera, making it respectable budget smartphone.
The company will be showing the Huawei Ascend W2 at MWC 2013 in Barcelona next month. It is a mid-range device with 4.5” HD display, Qualcomm’s dual-core processor, 1GB of onboard storage, 1GB of RAM, 2800mAh battery and 8Mp camera on its back. At only 7.7mm thick, the phone should be reasonably slim by today’s standard.
