Oppo Unveiled What Could Be The Thinnest Smartphone Ever
In the mobile industry, perhaps nothing is too thin and some manufacturers of Android handsets appear to take this to heart. Oppo, a little-known phone manufacturer from China, released an image of ridiculously thin smartphone. The unnamed handset is 6.65mm thin and if it finally arrives to the market, Oppo will be known as the manufacturer of world’s thinnest handset. Huawei Ascend P1 S is currently considered as the thinnest phone available in the market. It was shown off at CES 2012 and it was a mere 6.68mm thick. So if you’re an exceptionally perceptive person and can tell if a phone is 0.03mm thinner, Oppo’s mysterious handset is definitely for you. Making a thin phone is one thing, but making a durable one is another; most observers think that Oppo’s smartphone is a bit swanky, with edgeless glass design and a full metal rim. Hopefully, Oppo will perform thorough drop tests before releasing it in the market. Some handsets developed by Chinese manufacturers have below average build quality and they flex when squeezed.
Three capacitive buttons might tell us that the handset will use Android and it has charging pins similar to those used on the Galaxy Nexus. Also given the fact that Oppo is strictly a local manufacturer, the phone would never officially see the light of the day outside the Chinese border.
