New Official Pictures Compare Huawei Ascend Mate and Ascend D2
Last weekend, there was an unexpected excitement in a Huawei store in Guangzhou, China when the company’s chairman showed off the Ascend Mate to the public. Nowadays, a throng of interested buyers want to take a peek at the 6.1” prior to the official appearance at CES 2013 in Las Vegas.
Very few were lucky enough to visit the Huawei store and for the rest of us, there are now a set of new images to compare the Mate with another high-end Ascend model, the D2. Exact details of the phone are still a matter of speculations, but the Ascend Mate may have 1.8GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 13Mp rear camera and 4000mAh battery.
Huawei recently released an advertisement for the Ascend Mate and it’s quite clear that the oversized smartphone is targeting the Samsung Galaxy Note II with its 5.5” display. Huawei top official argued that the Galaxy Note II is grossly overpriced and consumers are told to wait for the Ascend Mate.
