Motorola Photon Q May Launch on Sprint’s Network on August 19th
Sprint announced the Motorola Photon Q in July, but it neglected to give us a release date. If you have been wondering when the QWERTY slider would arrive, it is a good thing to know that it could be August 19th. The media has picked up a new rumor that the phone will be joining Sprint’s lineup later this month and it will access carrier’s fast 4G LTE network.
The phone will offer a number of noteworthy features such as a 5-row QWERTY backlit keyboard that should appeal those who couldn’t take a liking to onscreen keyboard for typing email and text messages. Other than the Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0), the 4.3” display comes with ColorBoost display, which is also used by the Motorola Atrix HD. Other features are 1.5GHz dual-core processor, HD front-facing camera, 8MP rear-facing camera and NFC.
Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on how much the Photon Q would be priced, but it should be lower than Sprint’s asking price for the Samsung Galaxy S3 with 2-year agreement ($199.99).
