Motorola “obake_verizon” is Spotted On AnTuTu Benchmark Results
A mysterious device called obake_verizon recently appeared on benchmark results released by AnTuTu website. The specs and benchmark score look quite similar to an unknown Motorola smartphone discovered last week. At 18,218 points, the phone is on par with the XT1055, which registered a score of 18,252 points.
Both phones are running Android 4.2.2 with a 1.7GHz quad-core processor purring under the hood. While these hints won’t give us 100 percent definite answer, it is quite likely that the obake_verizon and Motorola XT1055 are two similar devices.
We have seen the Google X on a different AnTuTu benchmark result sporting Android 5.0.1 and scoring 15,479 points. But since, Google is planning to release Android 4.3 instead; some have speculated that the result was faked. Surely, we need to take any information from benchmark results with a pinch of salt and a dollop of healthy skepticism.
Regardless of what Motorola is planning to release, expectations are high that we will see the X Phone coming from the company.
