Microsoft May Seek to Combine Windows Phone 8 with Windows 8 OS As Windows Blue
It may be a good time to grab that salt shaker again as a potentially important rumor has surfaced. Reports told us recently that the Windows Blue could be more disruptive than expected, as Microsoft seeks to combine the Windows Phone 8 and the full-fledged Windows 8 OS into a single software package.
It is believed that the Windows Blue is being developed separately and by merging two different operating systems, Microsoft it’s hoping that it can compete effectively against Google’s Chrome OS and Android.
However, the Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 OS are two very different platforms and this won’t be an easy task. Nevertheless, this could be a necessary step as Google is approaching PC makers for subsequent productions of Chromebooks and Android-powered laptops.
It is speculated that we will see early confirmations from regarding the nature of Windows Blue in a couple of months. Sources also said that it’s expected that devices running the new software platform will be available in October this year.
