MetroPCS Introduces Low-end Smartphone with LTE Capability
CoolPad Quattro 4G is an entry level Android smartphone with LTE capability and it is set to come very soon. Although MetroPCS isn’t a carrier with the widest range of device, there have been some rumors that the carrier is looking to strengthen its current gadget lineup. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is by far its biggest leap in the industry and now, the CoolPad Quattro 4G allows subscribers to access high speed 4G (LTE) network on a $150 smartphone.
The new smartphone sports a 4” display and in some respect, it may even qualify as a lower mid-range device. What pins it in entry level category is the use of Android 2.3, 3.2Mp rear-facing camera and the 133MB of usable onboard storage. Its 1GHz single-core processor could also be an older model released last year. MetroPCS haven’t released any official image of the phone and its pricing strategy should be aimed to win consumers’ hearts. The carrier currently offers numerous affordable data plan starting from $40 per month.
