LG LE970 Will Join AT&T’s Network
LG’s new handset, the LG E970, is heading to AT&T’s network and it shows some impressive benchmark results. The phone is likely going to the higher tier of the smartphone market and it could simply be the equivalent of LG LS970 prepared for Sprint. Since some of specs have been revealed, it looks like the phone is really similar to Sprint’s handset.
The LG E970 will come with a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor and Adreno 320 GPU. There’s also a possibility that the phone will use a quad-core APQ8064 chip instead.
The Adreno 320 GPU is embedded on early Snapdragon S4 processors, which is an improvement over the Adreno 225 GPU. Experts predicted that a combination of quad-core processor and Adreno 320 GPU will rise above the competition, including Nvidia’s latest offerings and perhaps Samsung’s Exynos chipset. The LG E970 will also use the all not-too-common 1280×768 display resolution and it will run Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0.4). If the phone is simply a slight modification of LS970, then AT&T’s subscribers will also get a 4.67” display, 1.3Mp front-facing camera, 13MP rear-facing camera, LTE support 16GB of onboard storage and a 2100mAh battery.
