LG Eclipse LS970 Arrives to FCC
The LG Eclipse LS970 arrives to FCC very recently and it appears the phone will support Sprint’s CDMA, EVDO and LTE networks. Other connectivity and network features are USB 2.0, GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi. The Eclipse will be one of LG’s high-end smartphones with a Qualcomm Krait S4 quad-core processor, Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and 8Mp of rear-facing camera. If these specs prove to be true, then the phone might grow into something more superior to the Samsung Galaxy S3. LG Eclipse is essentially a Samsung Galaxy S3 with a physical keyboard and twice the processing power.
Curiously another rumor on an international version of the LG Eclipse reveals a completely different device with 3.5” display (320×480), 512MB of RAM, Gingerbread (Android 2.3) and slide-out full QWERTY keyboard. Unfortunately, LG seems to have far less commercial influence than Samsung and the Eclipse is quite unlikely to dethrone Galaxy S3 despite its advanced features.
