Lenovo LePad S880 is Released in China
Just a couple of years, our hearts were fluttered when HTC Leo, with the then unheard of 4.3” display, was released. Current mobile devices are now occupying all display sizes range, for example, the Samsung Galaxy Note with its 5.3” effectively blurs the gap between tablet and smartphone. Now, Lenovo is joining the phablet rank with the LePhone S880. The smartphone features a 5” display and it was launched in the China yesterday. Unfortunately, S880’s marvel stops right there; with the WVGA resolution, its pixel density is noticeably low. Under the hood, the LePad S880 is powered by a mediocre 1GHz MediaTek single-core processor and 512MB of RAM.
Users can expand the 4GB onboard storage with up to 32GB of microSD card. There’s a VGA snapper in the front and a 5Mp rear-facing camera. The 2250 mAh battery should keep the phone operational for the entire day and it comes pre installed with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0). The whole package weighs 200 grams and it is just 9.9mm thick. It is currently available in the Chinese market for $345 and there’s no word whether it will be available in other countries.
