Huawei Ascend D2 is Released in China
Just moments after its official unveiling at CES 2013, the Huawei Ascend D2 is delivered to consumers in China. The Ascend D2 is Huawei’s flagship in early 2013 and it is available for sale through the company’s official website. In its original form, the phone is a GSM smartphone with 5” 1080p full-HD display, Huawei’s in-house 1.5GHz K3V2 quad-core processor, 3000mAh battery, 13Mp rear camera, dual-SIM capability and Jelly Bean (Android 4.1).
There’s no microSD card slot, but the 32GB of onboard storage is adequate for most users. Connectivity options include HSUPA 5.7Mbps, HSDPA 42Mbps, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. The camera is capable of recording 1080p videos and supported by LED flash and autofocus. A variant for China Telecom supports only CDMA2000 network. The asking price is around $640, which puts it in the same category with the iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC Droid DNA.
