HTC will Release the Elite and an Unamed High-end Windows Phone Smartphone
Last month the rumor mill churned out three upcoming HTC handsets dubbed the Zeta, Ville and Edge. This month, there are two more upcoming HTC devices consumers need to check out. The HTC Elite is an Android smartphone, which may eventually head for AT&T; the phone is powered by Ice Cream Sandwich and comes with the Beats Audio. Very little is known about the HTC Elite specification-wise, however, it could eventually become HTC’s flagship for first few months of 2012. HTC will also release “Congressional” in April the same year.
If you’re a fan of Windows Phone, then you may need to wait for one of HTC’s upcoming phone. HTC is prepping for a 4G (LTE) phone powered with Windows Phones. The phone is destined for AT&T and it will feature a huge 4.7” display, which could be the same display used by the HTC Titan. Rumors said that HTC will release the Windows Phone device in February 2012, probably in CES.
Some sources said that HTC will release fewer phone models in 2012 and the Q1 might be “unnervingly” quiet. HTC will try to focus more on quality as some of its devices released in 2011 only saw mediocre commercial success.
It isn’t much of a surprise that HTC is working to fit Android 4.0 to its upcoming models. Past reviews on HTC Titan were favorable and a Titan-like device with 4G capability should be even better.
