HTC One X is Available on AT&T Today
HTC’s flagship goes on sale at AT&T retailers today, at a price of $199 with 2-year contract agreement. However, unlike the international version, the phone doesn’t come with Tegra 3 quad-core architecture, as it doesn’t support LTE yet. The AT&T’s HTC One X is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor and benchmark readings show that there’s no significant change in performance level. Also, the Adreno 225 GPU takes care of the heavy-duty graphics processing tasks.
The phone comes with a 4.7” Super-LCD 2 display with 720p resolution and 312 ppi of pixel density. The 1GB of RAM allows fluid multitasking and since there’s no microSD card slot onboard, users can only use the 16GB of internal storage. The 8Mp rear-facing camera features an LED flash and can capture 1080p videos at 30fps. For self-portraits and video chats, there’s a decent 1.3Mp. The camera quality of HTC One X is widely praised by reviewers. The phone comes preinstalled with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) with HTC Sense UI 4.0 running on top. The AT&T version of the phone has locked bootloader which sparked some controversy earlier.
