HTC One X for AT&T Will be Released Next Week
Previous reports told us that HTC’s next flagship the One X is heading on AT&T and it would be landing soon, however it appears to be sooner than you might think. BGR revealed that the highly anticipated smartphone could hit the shelves next week. The HTC One X is expected to be one of the best smartphones in the market. The AT&T’s version will retain the sleek design of the International version. More amazing Android smartphones are coming later this year and the HTC One X is just a taste of what are to come. The AT&T’s version uses Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon architecture, dual-core 1.5GHz Krait processor and Adreno 225 GPU, instead of Nvidia Tegra 3 architecture, quad-core 1.5 GHz processor and ULP GeForce GPU used by the international version. Despite two less cores used by the Krait processor, it doesn’t slow the device in any way; the switch is necessary as Nvidia’s solutions don’t support LTE (4G) until 2013.
Although the AT&T version lacks FM radio and have smaller internal storage (16GB instead of 32GB on the International version), it’s still a force to be reckoned with until the arrival of Samsung Galaxy SIII. The official announcement of Samsung’s flagship is less than three weeks away and you may need to hold off to see what the Galaxy SIII will be packing. That said, most smartphones won’t hit the stores at least a month after being announced, so if you are really looking for a powerful handset these days, then the HTC One X should be adequate.
