HTC is Releasing Three New Smartphone in China
Earlier this year, HTC made a big announcement that they were planning to go for quality over quantity, which meant they would release fewer phone models. While other phone makers like Samsung were releasing multitude of new handsets in the event, HTC impressed attendees with only three handsets of One series.
The company recently, announced three new handsets under the “Desire” branding that will be delivered for China market. These new Android devices will use Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) and will be released for three different carriers. These devices will carry the name V T328w, VC T328d and VT T328t.
The VT T328t is coming by way of China Mobile and it features 1GHz single-core processor, 512 Mb of RAM, 4″ S-LCD WVGA (800 x 480) display, Beats Audio, Sense 4.0 and a 5Mp shooter on the rear. It comes with a microSD card slot and a 4Gb of flash memory. Overall, the smartphone is clearly a mid-range handset.
On the other hand, the VC T328d will head to China telecom while the V T328w will arrive to China Unicom’s network. Both handsets have identical specs to VT T328t, except that they support dual-SIM. In Chinese market, dual-SIM is a popular feature, which allows consumers to get connected to two different carrier networks within one single handset; often, one account for personal use while the other is for work.
