Early Details of LG Galaxy Nexus Are Released
Details on LG Nexus 4 has been leaked by a Russian website and unfortunately, some experts consider the phone to be somewhat underwhelming. Surely, loyal Google would have been hoping for a bit more. Nevertheless, it is necessary to stress that these details are preliminary and it is quite likely that the original design would improve over time.
So far, the phone is rumored to have a sufficiently powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.5GHz, Adreno 320 GPU, 4.7” display (1280 x 768), 2GB of RAM, non-expandable 8GB of onboard storage and 8Mp of rear-facing camera. The 8GB of non-expandable onboard storage is restrictive for high-end smartphones, but this might indicate Google’s new strategy. The company has sold the Nexus 7 in three different storage options to improve profit margin. There could eventually be 16GB and 32GB versions of LG Nexus 4, with price differences that are much higher than the incremental value of internal storage chips.
Like previous Nexus models, the phone should showcase the latest OS, in this case, the Android 4.2. However, the new update is still believed to be “buggy” and the Nexus 4 may initially run Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) instead.
