CyanogenMod 9 is Released for HTC One X
The HTC One X has been running wild in numerous European countries for a month now. As such, the modders community was hard at work and a custom ROM for the phone was developed at great speed. CyanogenMod Team recently released a custom ROM for the international version of the phone. The stable version of CyanogenMod 9 is the much awaited custom ROM in the Android world and it’s based on stock Android 4.0.4 source code without bloated codes that are added by manufacturers and carriers. While HTC’s Sense UI 4.0 is far less intrusive than other overlays, some people still want more.
The International and North America versions of the phone are quite different internally, although they share a common casing. The HTC One X will arrive on AT&T’s network on May 6th and it’s still unknown whether, the phone will also get the custom ROM.
Early tests show that most features are working properly, except for the camera and the WiFi tethering. Some users also reported that the 3D data connection takes a while to connect.
