BLU Releases Windows Phone 8.1 Smartphone for Less Than $100
BLU has unveiled a new Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone model, the Win JR, which may compete quite well with the Lumia 530. The BLU Win JR is currently available from Amazon and Microsoft Store for $89 and $99, respectively. Both provide us with unlocked units; which allow us to choose any carrier we want.
Feature-wise, the BLU Win JR is equipped with 1.2GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of onboard storage. Others include 4-inch WVGA display, 1950mAh battery and 5Mp rear-facing camera with 720p video recording and autofocus. There are multiple color versions of the phone, including orange, yellow, magenta and white.
BLU is a relatively unknown vendor in the smartphone market, especially when compared to Apple, Samsung and Nokia. However like other small brands, BLU also delivers decent devices with great prices. So for owners of high-end Nokia Lumia Smartphones who are looking for an affordable spare phone, the BLU Win JR may do the trick with its reasonably capable features at under $100. The display and processor is good enough to deal with casual tasks, while users are waiting for their primary smartphones repaired.
