Benchmark Results Reveals Sony ST26i’s Innards
Scrolling through benchmark results isn’t exactly what we call the best job ever, as it can get monotonous and tedious rather quickly. However, there are still really good reasons to regularly pay close attention to recent readings, especially if you are aiming to get the biggest bang for the buck. Additionally, benchmark results can “leak” hardware specs that are not officially revealed by manufacturers. Case in point, the Sony ST26i has been spotted months ago and recently, it made another appearance in the form of results from the GL Benchmark tool that showed off some specs details.
Now we know that the smartphone will run an aged combination 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7627A single-core processor and Adreno 200 GPU. The chipset allows up to 1GHz of clock rate, although the official specs state only 800MHz. Additionally, we will be greeted by a display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution and the Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0.4). In short, the handset’s specification should place it squarely in the lower positions of the mid-range smartphone market.
