Auto Focus App Adds DSLR-like Effects to Android Devices
Many Android users value the quality of shots taken from their device, but might still want the quality to be a little bit better. Now, a new app called the After Focus could finally make your snapshots pop with some DSLR feels. The After Focus could integrate with any camera app in your phone, including Android’s stock camera app and you can use old photos in the Gallery as well.
Once a photo is opened using the app, veteran Photoshop users will immediately notice the Quick Mask-like process, while others may see that the app adds a really nice bokeh effect.
The interface allows you to control the amount and the type of blue. Users can also add other effects such as sharpen, sticker, color masks and vignette, as well as aperture shape. The free version of After Focus is available in the Google Play store and a paid version ($1.99) offers additional features such as high-resolution images up to 2048 pixels, edge-feathering and auto-calculation of the focus area.
