Asus Revealed that the Padfone Have More than 100 Hours of Battery Life
Visitors of CES (Consumer Electronic Show) 2012 in January were awed with a new phone, called the Asus Padfone. As the name suggests, the Padfone is a tablet-phone hybrid. Padfone isn’t like Samsung Galaxy Note or dozens of other tablet models with voice call capability that we can find in the market today. It only offers a 4.3” qHD Super-AMOLED display, but it also comes with a tablet dock. Connect the phone to the tablet dock and the larger screen becomes the main display. Asus is smart enough to use different interface when the phone is docked so that users could get a feeling of using a real tablet. Once the phone is removed, the tablet goes blank and you can use the phone like normal. The release date of this innovative hardware configuration isn’t yet confirmed, but it’s coming close for sure. The Taiwan-based company recently released a demo video showcasing various features of Padfone.
The video revealed that the whole package comes with an extra battery, potentially extending the battery life to more than 100 hours. The Asus Padfone comes with a more than decent configuration; its 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor should be able to handle most complex processing and 3D tasks.
