Apple Releases iOS 5.1.1
Apple’s iOS 5.1.1 update introduces various bug fixes for “Unable to purchase” pop up message and issue with AirPlay video playback. Additionally, Apple fixes a glitch that prevents the new iPad alternating between 3G and 2G data network. The update improves the HDR option reliability when taking photos with the Lock Screen shortcut. Users can also get improved reliability for synching Reading List and Safari bookmarks. The iOS 5.1.1 is available for download and users can go to “General>Software Update” to get their devices upgraded. The size of iOS 5.1.1 is 47.3MB for the iPhone and 42.5MB for the iPad, which should take about 5 minutes to download using 3G data services offered by major carriers. Overall, the update is relatively insignificant compared to the iOS 5.1 update.
Just a couple of months ago Apple released the iOS 5.1, which delivered a greater number of interface tweaks and bug fixes. For example, users reported that iOS 5.1 improved their battery life. AppleTV also received the iOS 5.1 update, but not the current iOS 5.1.1.
