Android 4.0 Update for Motorola Devices is Arriving
Motorola is getting ready to roll out ICS update to some of its devices. As a preparation, they also released some videos showing off their latest custom UI formerly called MotoBlur. These videos reveal the Webtop 3.0, the browser, the new lock screen, notifications and many other features. If you are one of those lucky people who run the leaked ICS build for Motorola devices, then these features may have become quite familiar.
Other than the custom UI, Motorola also added some helpful features and got rid of a few useless features. Overall, things are skinned so significantly that many won’t recognize that it is actually an Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) build. The new lock screen is particularly useful with shortcuts that let users access dialer, camera, messaging as well as the screen unlock. There’s also a toggle to help you silence the smartphone quickly. Social networking fans would be disappointed as Motorola has eliminated the one-stop social networking service and the company simply encourages users to download separate apps for Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn instead.
