A Sequel to Sprint’s Motorola Photon 4G is Being Prepared
Back in 2011, the Photon 4G was Motorola’s flagship in Sprint’s network. Apparently a successor is being prepared and it could eventually be dubbed as the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE. For the moment, there’s rather limited information about the sequel device. However, from its name, Photon 4G’s specs and current trends in mobile industry; we could make some educated guesses.
As a flagship, the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE could be equipped with Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, a direct improvement over the Nvidia Tegra 2 AP20H commonly used on flagship devices in early 2011. The original handset doesn’t really support 4G (LTE) capability and just like the DROID RAZR MAXX, the Photon Q 4G LTE may eventually have the data connectivity technology. Sprint has a plan to introduce 4G technology this year.
